Lost Souls Memorial Project Event
In conjunction with the East Brunswick Public Library, Lost Souls Public Memorial Project will be mounting a Remembrance Exhibit to inform, inspire, and engage the local community. Knowing our history, its triumphs and its tragedies, allows us to chart a course for a more just future. Throughout September, the Library will host an exhibit about the Lost Souls - at least 137 African American women, men, and children in 1818, held captive in the home of a Middlesex County judge in what is now East Brunswick.
Kids Save the World!
Drop by anytime between 12:00 and 2:30 to visit stations and learn about different environmental issues and how kids hold the key to saving our planet. This program is presented by Divya and Aanya, local Girl Scouts committed to educating kids about environmental challenges so that today's young, creative thinkers can develop solutions. Unity Craft: Paper Flower Bouquets
Drop in to participate in this special community art project, in partnership with the Lost Souls Public Memorial Project. Learn how to make a tissue paper flower with our teen volunteers, then make several to leave at the library. Our teen volunteers will create beautiful bouquets that will be displayed in September. Your flowers, in bouquets of flowers made by other people in our community, will represent you and the contributions you make to our great town. All ages are welcome to join in. Making Pixel Art using Google Sheets (Gr. 4+)
A 2-days workshop to learn how to use Google Sheets to make pixel art. Kids can learn to use conditional formula to make Mindcraft figures, emoji faces or any image.
Requirement: Need to have a google account ready and Gr. 4+
