Exhibits

Exhibits of art, photography, collections, and other subjects of interest to adults and children are on display monthly. To submit your work for exhibition, submit a proposal at https://ilove.ebpl.org/exhibit-proposal.

Recycling Programs

The library participates in select township recycling programs. East Brunswick residents are encouraged to bring the following items to the library to be recycled and help support several community organizations: Check the Recycling brochure on the township's web site for the Monthly Recycling Calendar and additional information about East Brunswick’s recycling program.

Batteries

Used batteries are recycled through the East Brunswick Township program so they do not end up in the landfill but instead are recycled back to a useful product. *** Alkaline batteries can now be put in the trash***. There is a blue drop off bucket located in the front lobby of the library only for Rechargeable and Button Cell Batteries that include:

  • Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd)
  • Nickel Metal Hydridge (Ni-MH)
  • Lithium Ion (Li-ion)
  • Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn)
  • small sealed lead (less than 11 lbs)

REPLENISH Food Collection Site

The library partners with REPLENISH, formerly the Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOODS). REPLENISH provides access to nutritionally adequate food and other basic necessities to all residents in Middlesex County. Food collected at the library is distributed to food pantries, soup kitchen and social service organizations throughout the 25 towns in Middlesex County. There are green drop off buckets located in the front lobby of the library for shelf-stable foods that do not require refrigeration. Please be sure to check the expiration date before dropping off any food items.

Eyeglasses

Old eyeglasses can be recycled at the library and are part of an ongoing program to assist the blind. There is a box located in the front lobby of the library to place old eyeglasses.
