Scratch Coding for Beginners (3rd-5th gr. )
Scratch is a block-based computer programming language so it's a good starting point to learn how to code.
Join us to learn the basics of MIT's Scratch Program and try out fun, coding projects.
This 9-days bootcamp is open to kids of 3-5th grade with no experience needed!
Every weekday from July 6th to July 16th 10:30 to 11:30am. Limited registration!
You will learn the basics of Scratch and create a project each day.
Difficulty Levels: Level 1 - Beginner ;Level 2 – Moderate; Level 3 - Challenging
7/6 (Tue) - Introduction to Scratch: Get to know everyone, learn about Scratch
7/7 (Wed) - Name Animation project (Level 1)
7/8 (Thu) - Music Project: explore sound features on Scratch to create a song (Level 1)
7/9 (Fri) - Talking Sprites + Simple Story Project: (Level 1/2)
7/12 (Mon) - Clicker Game: use variables and control blocks (Level 2)
7/13 (Tue) - Chase Game: keep score when your sprite touches a moving object (Level 2)
7/14 (Wed) - Pong Game: a ping-pong game that keeps score of hits and misses (Level 3)
7/15 (Thu) - Funny Sentence : use variables and operator blocks (Level 3)
7/16 (Fri) - A-maze-ing Game: use Paint feature on Scratch to create a maze (Level 3)
