New Videos From How to Be a Super Friend!

Learn about Down Syndrome and limb differences from our good friend Megan, a medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School!

Follow along with this continuing series of videos and learn about being good friends with someone who has a limb difference or Down Syndrome.  As Megan explains, limb differences and Down Syndrome are not sicknesses, they're not something you can catch, and they are just part of what makes someone unique!  But sometimes kids (and even grown-ups) are scared about these differences because they don't know a lot about them.  Follow the links below to learn more!

How to Be a Super Friend: Limb Differences

How to Be a Super Friend: Down Syndrome

When the library is open, Megan and her team of fellow medical students run programs at the library to help all of us learn about how similar we are and how we can be good friends to people who are different from us.  Their goal is to break down stigmas before they even become part of a child's belief system and promote acceptance and friendship among all people.  Check out the virtual version of these events on the library's How to Be a Super Friend playlist.
