About This Book

Not everyone needs a license to fight for justice!

In a superpowered society, there is nothing ordinary about evil anymore. Heroes, trained and licensed to protect and defend the public against supervillains, stand above all the rest. Not everyone can be an official hero, however, and there are those who would use their powers to serve the people without legal sanction. But do they fight for justice in the shadows, or for reasons known only to themselves? Whatever they fight for, they are called…vigilantes.

Koichi and his “friends”—Kazuho, a.k.a. Pop Step, and the mysterious Knuckleduster—have teamed up to protect their neighborhood (unofficially, of course). But even petty criminals with Quirks can be dangerous, and taking them on shows Koichi that he’d better not underestimate them. Sizing up the opposition is important, especially when some of the villains are definitely out of Koichi’s league and more sinister threats lurk in the shadows…

My Hero Academia Vol 2 rating

"My Hero Academia: Vigilantes" Vol. 2 is a manga series written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. The story is a spin-off of the popular "My Hero Academia" series and focuses on the exploits of vigilantes who operate outside the law to protect people from villainous threats. In this volume, the story follows the vigilante duo of Koichi and Pop Step as they continue to fight against various villains in the city of Naruhata. They team up with a new hero, Knuckleduster, who is investigating a mysterious organization called "The Villain Factory." As they uncover more about this organization, they discover that they are using a drug called "Trigger" to create superpowered villains. Overall, "My Hero Academia: Vigilantes" Vol. 2 is a thrilling and action-packed addition to the series, with an engaging plot, dynamic characters, and plenty of exciting battles. It explores the gray area between heroism and vigilantism and raises important questions about the role of superheroes in society.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Vol.2 by Hideyuki Furuhashi

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Vol.2 by Hideyuki Furuhashi is one of the most adventurous books in the My Hero Academia Franchise. It really has a storyline based on other characters, rather than revolving around Deku, which gives a sense of perspective as to what the other characters are facing and what their quirks (superpowers) are. This book really shows how people come together to actually beat supervillains. There have been many criminals, but little ones… as if they were minions of a shadow lurking in the dark corners waiting for anyone to make a mistake to strike upon. This book also brings suspense and increases the intensity when reading the book. This book also shows perspectives about a beaten villain and how it came to be. And, obviously, class 1-A is the class that starts to help with beating the villain. More of the three main heroes that are presented in this book, are Koichi Himawari, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster. Those three realized that there is more to what meets the eye. They might see little crimes along the way of clearing the bad, but they also start realizing it's like the villains are sent in packets or as distractions as to what is actually happening “behind the scenes”. This book is by far one of the most suspenseful and adventurous books in the My Hero Academia franchise. Though, it is better suited for readers who like more action than just tales that are presented in other books/stories.
